Anna-Catherine Brigida
Anna-Catherine Brigida is currently the immigration reporter for Houston Landing. She previously worked as the Argentina correspondent for Reuters and spent seven years reporting on immigration, security and human rights in Central America, mainly El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras, for outlets including The Washington Post, National Geographic, and Al Jazeera. Her 2018 story on the danger deportees face upon return to El Salvador was selected as a finalist for the Livingston Award for Young Journalists. She was the 2022 Bruno Fellow for Coda Story reporting on surveillance technology in Honduras. Her work has been supported by the Pulitzer Center, IWMF, and Alicia Patterson Foundation.
