Yana Israelyan is an expert of Media Literacy, experienced media manager, author of the some new media formats. She has 15 years experience in journalism.
Yana won the EUFPA Prize for the Best Article in 2009. In different years, she made documentaries, participated in cross-border and peacemaking projects. Her articles have been published in various international collections and platforms. In 2015 – 2018 she was a regional editor of the magazine Digital Report about ICT in South Caucasus (Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan). She covered topics related to information security and Internet freedoms.
Yana participated in more than 30 International conferences on media, human rights, gender and minority issues under the umbrella of UN, OSCE, EU, IREX, IWPR, FPU and other organizations. Currently Yana Israelyan is an editor on international projects. She edits books and publications on journalism, conflict and international relations.
Educational background: MA in Political Science, Alumnus of Media Literacy Course (Poland), Media Management School (Ukraine), Tbilisi School of Political Studies (Georgia), School of Journalism on Radio Liberty (Georgia).
