Mariella Sala

Professional editor and member of the professional journalist association (Colegio de Periodistas del Perú). Ms. Sala Eguren took a degree in Philosophy and pursued Master in Philosophy studies in the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Peru (Catholic University of Peru).  Her areas of expertise are gender and intercultural issues. Mariella is an associated member of ASCOT – Asociación de Correctores de Textos del Perú (Peruvian Proofreader’s Association).

She currently works as writer, text editor and proofreading for various institutions, such as Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia, the Ministry of Education of Peru, and PRODEGE, in Equatorial Guinea, Africa.  Ms. Sala has been a house consultant to the international FHI360 NGO (former AED) in the Educational Development Programme of Equatorial Guinea (PRODEGE), where she is the editor of all the Programme’s publications.

Ms Sala Eguren has been director of the Centro de la Mujer Peruana Flora Tristan, of TAFOS organization (Workshops of social photography) and of Comunicaciones Aliadas/Latinamerica Press.  Mariella is a founding member and Coordinator of RELAT- Red de Escritoras Latinoamericanas (Network of Latin American women writers) and has been Chairperson of the Board of Women’s WORLD, world organization with headquarters in New York, USA.

In addition to scores of journalistic articles, she has published two narrative books and her tales have been included in several literary anthologies, both in Peru and abroad, translated into English, French and German.
