Antonella was born in Milano in 1962. After a degree in Foreign Languages (English, Russian) she started working for Il Sole 24 Ore in 1989 at the International Desk, covering Russia, Ukraine and the former Soviet republics, but also working at the editorial desk. She left the newspaper in 2022 but she is still writing for them as a freelancer.
