Barbara Trionfi, Executive Director at the Vienna-based International Press Institute (IPI) and FJA jury member, received a special prestigious award, Decoration of Merit in Gold of the Republic of Austria, for her extraordinary contribution in the development of press freedom and human rights. The award ceremony took place just after the High-Level International Multi-Stakeholder Conference to mark the 10th anniversary of the UN Plan of Action on the Safety of Journalists and the Issue of Impunity in Vienna.
