FJA congratulates Maria Ressa and Dmitry Muratov for being awarded the 2021 Nobel Peace Prize

The Founder and the Steering Committee of the Fetisov Journalism Awards extend their sincere congratulations to Maria Ressa and Dmitry Muratov for being awarded the 2021 Nobel Peace Prize

Journalists Maria Ressa and Dmitry Muratov have won this year’s Nobel Peace Prize for their efforts to safeguard freedom of expression, which is a precondition for democracy and lasting peace.

Maria and Dmitry are the first journalists to win the prize since 1935.

“The irresponsible bureaucracy already controls half of the planet, totalitarianism is flourishing, the aggression of the authorities against society and citizens is increasing all over the world, and only journalists do not leave the front line! You are heroes!", commented FJA Founder Gleb Fetisov.
